Transatlantic Council Troop Jamboree 2010

BSA National Jamboree 2010

“Welcome to the Jungle!”

Posted by admin On July - 24 - 2010

Dear Parents and Family,

Well yesterdays events in the mighty jungle of D.C. left our Troop sweaty and tired. We had an exciting trip to many of the wonderful museums that D.C. had to offer. We all began at the Aerospace Museum where we were al marveled by the impressive collection of plances, and rockets. After we were done there some of our patrols slipped away to go see “The Stones” at the Museum of Natural History. While others decided to join the Pow Wow at the National Native American Museum. Where we saw some interesting information about some of the lesser known tribes. After we had indulged ourselves in interesting information we moved on to tour the Capitol building. There we saw some cool statues and one of them was even a relative of our Scoutmaster. After that we visited the Iwo Jima Memorial and got some cool Troop pictures. After we were all done baking for the day we headed back for camp. All in all we had a good first day together. Few mess ups and very few bumps in our schedule. Jamboree here we COME!

From the Offices of,

The Scribe and the Webmaster.

P.s. we are working on getting more pictures up on the front page!

  1. Thanks for the troop news, but the news says Troop 138, but the boys have 229 on their shirts, so which is correct for mail.

For mail, is it the following?
    Boy’s name
    Transatlantic Council, Troop 229
    Northeast Region, Subcamp 2
    Fort A.P. Hill
    Bowling Green, VA 22427
