    Arrival Information

Posted by admin On July - 20 - 20101 COMMENT

    Scouters and Parents,

I have arrived in DC and all is going well so far – our last minute ankle biters are being dealt with thanks to many helpful hands.  Everything is on-hand to include the elusive Troop Flag, with the exception of the troop hats.  Luke will be working with the Scout Shop to track this order.
For those who are arriving tomorrow to assist, we will have plenty to keep us busy.  First and foremost we will meet at Ft. Belvoir – Tulley Gate Visitors entrance off of route 1. at 0830.  Once we have accountability we will move to the Scout Hut on Ft. Belvoir and divide and conquer on our task list, returning to the Scout Hut at 1730 for consolidation and upload of gear/equipment.
Thanks to everyone, safe travels to all and God Bless.
    Cheers,

    John

Final Guidance on Travel and more

Posted by TroopWebmaster On July - 13 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Hopefully everyone in the contingent recieved an email from Mr Cass which attached a “final” guide on various travel issues, including where to meet us.  If you did not get the email, please contact Mr Cass or Mr Johnson.  We can send it again.  Due to the sensitive nature of some of the material in the guide, it will NOT be posted here.

Please Please Please read this carefully.  Review it with your scouts.  Send them with a printed copy.  Pay particular attention on the section about what to do in Dulles Airport.  If your scout runs into any problems:

    1) Ask for the scout arrivals area.

    2) If no one knows where that is, ask for directions to the “National Jamboree Staff reception area” , and one of the helpful scouters there will be able to direct scouts to us.

All 4 Scout Leaders will be at the Airport from the early morning hours to recieve your scouts… 9 days until Dulles Airport… and counting down!

Make Way for New Eagle Scout… N Cass

N Cass made Eagle Scout last night in Stuttgart. Cass cut it close to the wire, but that make 3 of the big 4 Eagle Scouts. That scounds like one impressive leadership team to me.

Please join us in offering N. Cass, the Troop 138 Scribe a warm and well earned congratulations for passing his Eagle Scout Board of Review.

    CONGRATZ!

    P.S. Knock, Knock —

    Who’s there?

    Stella

    Stella who?

    Stella another Eagle Scout!
